Wright Forest Bushland Reserve

Wright Forest is monitored by Parks Victoria and is located on Bailey Street. This hold in excess of 161 hectares was partly burned inside the Ash Wednesday fires of 1983. Large mountain grey gums, messmate blackwood, gum wattles dominate the plant areas within this forest. Pine and ground ferns are included by understorey vegetation. Animal species and many ancient chicken have already been noted within this reserve. In addition, it gives public toilet facilities, nature records, picnic tables, barbecue facilities, public transport and walking paths. Dogs are permitted inside the playground but should be on prospects constantly.  The park sits on the skirts of both Emerald & Cockatoo.
